The Ministry of Environmental Protection's Notification on the Implementation Date of the Limits for Vehicle IV National Emission Standards

In March 2009, the Department of Industrial Policy of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology convened meetings of relevant companies to discuss the implementation of automotive emission standards (State III, State IV, and State V), and major companies in the automobile industry and engine manufacturers participated in the meeting. According to the reality that the quality of domestic oil products cannot be adapted to the implementation of the above standards, the automobile industry proposes appropriate sub-models to postpone the implementation of emission standards. For this reason, the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, on the basis of listening to the opinions and suggestions of most companies in the automotive industry, reflected to the Ministry of Environmental Protection the proposal for the implementation of the standard. The General Office of the Ministry of Environmental Protection of the People's Republic of China replied to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers on December 21, 2010 in the letter of the Circular Office [2010] No. 1390 “Replied to the Implementation Date of the Fourth Stage Limit of National Motor Vehicle Emission Standards”. The contents of the reply will be forwarded to the whole industry. The industry is requested to implement it in strict accordance with the requirements of the state.
