Honda releases hybrid vehicles in China within two to three years or domestically next year

According to Reuters news, at the Chengdu Global Automotive Forum recently held, Honda executives said that in 2012, hybrid vehicles including the CR-Z Hybrid will be released in the Chinese market.

Mibe Toshihiro, executive director of Honda, said in a speech at the Global Automotive Forum that Honda plans to launch a hybrid model in the Chinese market in 2012, including a hybrid version of the CR-Z crossover and the Fit minicar.

In September of this year, Seiji Kuraishi, general manager of Honda (China) Co., Ltd. and China's director of the company, disclosed that Honda will start production of hybrid electric vehicles in China in the next two to three years. Masahiro Shiraishi also did not disclose production models, but listed hybrid models that will be released to the market in 2012, including Insight, CR-Z, Fit Hybrid, Civic Hybrid, and Acura Hybrid.

In addition, media reported not long ago that starting in 2012, Honda will manufacture electric motors for batteries and electric vehicles in Guangzhou with suppliers to reduce the cost of hybrid vehicles.
