Technical conditions for gold extraction by electrowinning
Electrodeposition technology in recent years developed a new technology to get pure gold from gold-rich silver solution. The electrodeposition tank uses stainless steel as the anode and steel wool as the cathode. After the direct current is applied, about 80% of pure gold can be obtained on the cathode. The distance between the poles is 35 mm, the voltage in the tank is 3 to 4.5 volts, the cathode current density is 15 to 20 amps/m 2 , and the flow rate of the electrowinning fluid is 1.5 to 2 liters/min. Electrodeposition is carried out at room temperature. The electro-product cycle is 24 to 48 hours, and the electro-hydration solution (for a groove volume of 0.036 m 3 ) can be treated at 800 to 1000 liters at a time. The electric volume rate can reach more than 99%.
