Digital multimeter method:
First, connect one end of the cable with a breakpoint to the 220V live wire, and let the other end float. Mobilize the multimeter's gear so that it hits the AC 2V voltage block. Then, starting from the live wire access point of the faulty cable, one hand grips the black meter pen and the red one slowly slides along the insulating layer of the faulty cable. The voltage at the break point of the cable is approximately 0.445V. When the red meter pen moves to somewhere, the voltage value displayed by the multimeter suddenly drops to 1/10 of the normal voltage, that is, 0.04V. At this point, it can be basically concluded that the break point is at the position (FireWire access point) 15cm forward.
If the shielding of the shield is not damaged, this method cannot be used.

Induction pen method:
First of all, remove the cable around the breakpoint cable with power, and then connect the cable with the breakpoint to the fire line, then use the induction pen to move slowly perpendicular to the cable. When the AC signal of the induction pen disappears, you can determine the breakpoint in the detection. At the point, the error is no more than 10cm.
Polyline method:
For shorter cable test breakpoints, the bending method can be used. Connect the two ends of the cable to the ends of the red and black meter pens of the multimeter. Bend back and forth from one end of the cable. If the multimeter breaks at this time, the breakpoint is there. Follow this method until the breakpoint.
There are ways to damage the cable
Acupuncture method:
This method uses the on-off of the cable to check the breakpoint of the cable. Insert the breakpoint cable into the steel needle in segments, and then use a multimeter to measure the continuity status. The difference is where the breakpoint is located. However, this method can destroy the insulating layer and it is easy to cause other problems in the later use of the cable.
Professional instrument detection method
In addition, the fault point of the underground cable can be judged by the audio detector.
For the judgment of the full length of the cable and the short circuit and breaking point, a cable fault telemeter can be used.
According to the actual situation, using different methods to determine the breakpoint, the above methods can basically determine where the cable breakpoint is located.
