Imports and exports of environmental protection equipment will gradually increase

In the process of the development of China's environmental protection industry, the technical bottleneck has always been an urgent problem to be solved. Without a large amount of technical support, it is difficult for the environmental protection industry to achieve breakthrough development. The introduction of technology requires financial support, while China’s environmental protection industry is dominated by large-scale small and medium-sized enterprises. Under such circumstances, funds have become the main factor in curbing technology and even product imports. Therefore, if the government can effectively subsidize the environmental protection industry, it will further open the channels of environmental exchanges at home and abroad, and at the same time create a stable platform for the two sides' trade.

According to the "2010-2015 China Environmental Protection Industry Investment Analysis and Forecast Report" published by the China Investment Advisor, the accumulated import value of environmental protection equipment reached US$219 million in the first quarter of 2010, an increase of 69.98% year-on-year. From a single month perspective, February and March achieved US$54.68 million and US$104 million, respectively, which represented an increase of 53.31% and 86.81% year-on-year. From the data, it can be seen that since 2009, the import of China’s environmental protection equipment has been hit harder, but Obviously better than the equipment export situation in China.

Zhang Yanlin, research director of China Investment Consulting, pointed out that the state’s direct financial subsidies for environmental protection equipment will be effectively reflected in the increase in import quotas, which will inject fresh blood into the development of China's environmental protection industry and at the same time, be beneficial to the process of localizing environmental protection equipment in China.
