Imports of imported cars fell in the first quarter

According to the data released by the China Automobile Dealers Association, as of April 1, the sales volume of imported cars in the Chinese market showed a shrinking trend in the first quarter, which accounted for 5.9% of the total market sales, which was a decrease of 1.5 percentage points from 7.4% in the same period of last year.

Industry experts believe that mid- to high-end consumption has weakened, and sales of imported vehicles have declined, while domestic cars have performed relatively strongly, accounting for 94.1% of the total, and consumption has gradually become popular.

It is worth noting that, despite the decline in the overall sales volume of imported cars, the sales volume of parallel imported vehicles that have been hotly debated has risen.

According to data from imported cars provided by the China Automobile Dealers Association, shipments of imported terminal vehicles for the January-February period fell by 19.1% year-on-year, actually the volume of cards fell by 2.9% year-on-year, and the difference between the two was as high as nearly 17%. The far-reaching data gap was caused by the industry's increase in sales of parallel imported vehicles.
