The second phase of Yuchai Casting Center starts to build an annual output of 38,000 tons of castings

On the morning of July 28, the second phase of the Yuchai Foundry Center was officially started on a wasteland of bare soil and bare soil. The project plans to invest a total of 320 million yuan and plans to produce an annual output of about 38,000 tons of cylinder head castings. More than 100 people, including Liang Qingyan, deputy general manager of Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd., the foundry management team, casting experts, the heads of relevant departments of Yuchai Corporation, and construction companies, attended the groundbreaking ceremony.
The second phase of the project is adjacent to a workshop (phase 1 project) of a foundry center that has been completed and put into operation. The planned construction area is about 46,600 square meters. It mainly produces cylinder head castings and is matched with Yuchai's diesel engines such as YC6J, YC6L, and YC6M.
After the second phase of project construction is put into production, Yuchai’s existing casting technology, production management and human resources will be integrated, with comprehensive capabilities in the areas of new casting technology, new materials, new technology equipment, and new product development and trial production. It will greatly improve and comprehensively improve Yuchai's comprehensive strength and competitiveness.
The Yuchai Foundry Center plans to invest approximately RMB 1.7 billion in construction, which will be implemented in phases. The first-phase construction area reached 36,000 square meters, with a total investment of 517 million yuan. It mainly produces 6J/6A/6M/6L cylinder block castings, and it annually produces 65,000 cylinder body castings of 45,000 tons. The first phase of the project was officially put into operation on March 12, 2010. The speed of construction has created an amazing miracle - "Yuchai speed."
Yuchai Foundry Center is located in Yuchai Industrial Park, with a planned total area of ​​1800 mu and built six casting production lines to produce high-strength, thin-walled, high-quality and high-precision diesel engine block and cylinder head castings. -40L cylinder, cylinder head of micro, light, medium and heavy diesel engines. After the completion of the Foundry Center project, it will annually produce 900,000 sets of cylinder blocks and cylinder heads, with about 300,000 tons of castings.
