Bridgestone Recalls Tubeless Radial Tires for Some Trucks and Buses

A few days ago, Bridgestone (Shenyang) Tire Co., Ltd. submitted a recall report to the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China in accordance with the relevant provisions of the "Regulations on Recall of Defective Automobile Products". The recall involves the use of tyreless radial tires for Bridgestone, Feng Chi Tong brand trucks and buses produced by Bridgestone (Shenyang) Tire Co., Ltd. from the third week of November 2012 to the fourth week of September 2013. Tyres involved a total of 471,781 articles.
Some of the tires in this target tire have changed from the rubber material on the inner surface of the tire. Due to problems in some processes in the manufacturing process, the joint strength of the rubber material joint is insufficient, and cracks may occur on the inner surface of the tire after traveling. After continuous use, the gap will continue to develop, which will cause air to enter the sidewall of the tire from the crack, which in turn will cause the drum to kick from the side of the tire. The most serious condition may cause the tire to leak and make it impossible to drive. Bridgestone said that even if an air leak occurs above, it will not cause a rapid drop in internal pressure and it can safely stop. At present, no accident reports concerning personal safety and property damage have been received. Bridgestone will check the joint position of the rubber material on the inner surface of tires for all the tires and replace the other target tires other than the good ones without charge.
