Rollo launches large stainless steel Kamewa waterjet

It is understood that these new waterjets have fewer components, are simpler to install, reduce installation time, and require no special skills, reducing shipbuilding time and costs.

These waterjets are equipped with an entire inlet, including the main hydraulics, Valves, and even factory-calibrated electronics when needed, and pump technology uses proven water spray technology. The entire system package is pre-manufactured and factory tested.

It is reported that the three new types of waterjet propellers are named S71, S80 and S90, which constitute the whole series of large-scale steel series waterjet propulsion products. This Kamewa steel range offers flexible use of aluminum, steel and composite materials, which means that the inlet material, shape and pump type of the waterjet can be selected differently to optimize hull installation and ultra-light weight shipbuilding, with weight, Cost and corrosion protection advantages. In particular, the use of ship-grade aluminum panels to construct waterjet thruster inlet components means easier installation to a variety of ship types.

These new waterjets have a longer overhaul interval of 15,000 hours or 5 years.
