China calls for the elimination of barriers to the transfer of clean and efficient energy technologies
Zhang Guobao spoke at the G8 Energy Ministers' Meeting on the same day and said that the Chinese government has always attached importance to energy conservation and energy efficiency improvement. It has saved energy by adjusting its structure and eliminating backward production capacity, strengthening management, and strengthening the legal system. It also includes many other countries including Japan and the United States. National and international organizations have conducted effective exchanges and cooperation. In order to protect the environment and gradually change the over-reliance on coal in the energy structure, China actively promotes diversified energy development and strives to build an energy structure that uses coal as the main body, oil, natural gas, nuclear energy, and renewable energy.
Zhang Guobao said that there are many advanced clean and efficient energy technologies in the world. If developing countries adopt these technologies in industrialization and large-scale infrastructure construction, they will make a great contribution to ensuring security and mitigating climate change. He pointed out that under the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, developed countries have the responsibility and obligation to provide developing countries with funds and technology transfer. However, there has been no substantive progress on this issue. The international community should focus on eliminating barriers to technology transfer, formulating technology transfer incentives, setting up funds, and purchasing key technologies for transfer.
In addition to continuing to focus on rising crude oil prices and market investment environment, the G8 Energy Ministers Meeting focused on measures for addressing climate change from the aspects of promoting energy conservation, introducing green energy, and developing new energy technologies. Representatives from the G8 member countries and China, South Korea, India, the International Energy Agency, and the European Commission attended the meeting.
Electric vehicles are the development direction of future transportation vehicles, which have the characteristics of environmental protection and low-carbon, and can reduce exhaust emissions and environmental pollution.
An electric vehicle is a type of vehicle that uses electrical energy as its power source. Compared to traditional internal combustion engine vehicles, electric vehicles have lower energy consumption, lower pollution emissions, and lower noise. With the increasing awareness of environmental protection and the development of technology, electric vehicles have become an important choice for solving energy problems and alleviating environmental pollution.
