China's first generation of a new generation of nuclear emergency diesel units

On April 29th, China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation Shaanxi Diesel Engine Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. and China National Nuclear Corporation Group Zhongyuan Foreign Engineering Company signed a supply contract for key equipment and nuclear emergency diesel units for export nuclear power plant construction projects in Beijing. This is a major breakthrough for China Shipbuilding Heavy Industry to take advantage of technology development and equipment manufacturing and enter the nuclear power market. It is also the first time that this type of product is manufactured in China, marking the localization of a new generation of nuclear emergency diesel generator sets, one of the core technologies of nuclear power plants in China. The device is completely dependent on the import situation.

The nuclear-level emergency diesel unit project signed this time was led by Shaanxi Diesel Engine Heavy Industry Co., Ltd., and cooperated with Shanghai Nuclear Engineering Research and Design Institute and relevant domestic supporting manufacturers to independently complete the protection and control of the relay emergency electrical system and the design of mechanical auxiliary system. The test of the manufacturing and the unit is verified, and the core technology of the nuclear emergency diesel unit is gradually mastered through this project.
