Guangzhou Dockyard completed two 36-ton tail thruster gearbox replacement projects

Recently, Guangzhou Zhongchuan Yuanhang Dockyard Co., Ltd. completed the replacement of two Wärtsilä 360° full-rotation tail propeller propeller gearboxes for the Dutch semi-submersible engineering ship “Bay”.
It is understood that the "Bay" has a total weight of 1,884 tons, and its new single Wärtsilä 360° full-rotation tail thruster gearbox weighs 36 tons. It is the largest propeller gearbox renewal project undertaken since the establishment of the Guangzhou Dockyard. .
