Amarcon delivers pipelaying/heavy ship monitoring system
Recently, subsea 7 of the offshore energy industry engineering, construction and service contractor has ordered the OCTOPUS package for its newly delivered “Seven Borealis†pipe / heavy ship .
It is reported that the "Seven Borealis" is a technologically advanced ultra-deepwater work vessel. Amarcon was appointed to deliver a set of dynamic monitoring and ship response early warning systems known in the industry as “OCTOPUS-Onboard†, including crane real-time monitoring systems and DP Capability Forecast . All collected dynamic information is transmitted to the central database for management to view the analysis. Amarcon 's fluid mechanics analysis software OCTOPUS-Office was also ordered on board .
