Recently, Shagang's first R&D hot-rolled coil for anti-hydrogen sulfide corrosion (referred to as anti-HIC) pipelines has undergone smelting, casting, heating, rolling, crimping, on-line inspection, sampling analysis, and other processes. The results show that the product steel is pure With excellent performance, it has added a strong emphasis to the research and development of high value-added products from Shagang.
Because oil or natural gas contains more acid gases (such as hydrogen sulfide), it is easy to corrode the pipeline during the transportation process and cause cracks. In severe cases, the pipeline will fail, causing serious consequences. Therefore, the anti-hydrogen sulfide corrosion performance is very important for hot rolled coils for oil and gas pipelines. Therefore, starting from the composition design, low carbon is used, alloy elements such as niobium, copper, and molybdenum are added and LF desulfurization and RH degassing are performed. Calcium treatment and soft agitation ensure low sulphur, low nitrogen and steel purity. During the production process, the technical staff of the General Engineering Office of the Shagang Group tracked the progress of each process and carried out follow-up inspections to collect production data to ensure smooth production and commissioning.
At present, the physical quality of production has reached the production requirements of the X70, fully in line with the United States' Nasr standard. The successful R&D of this time marks that Shagang already has the ability to undertake the production of anti-hydrogen sulfide pipeline steel production. In the future, Shagang will gradually expand from the development of hot coils to high-value products with high added value and high-tech content, such as wide and heavy plates that resist corrosion by hydrogen sulfide, and further enhance the overall international competitiveness.
