The Ministry of Commerce made an anti-dumping ruling against EU import TDI
According to the preliminary decision of the Ministry of Commerce of the China Drying Network, the Department of Commerce of the People's Republic of China had dumped the product under investigation during the investigation period. The Chinese tolylene diisocyanate industry suffered material damage, and there was a causal relationship between dumping and substantial damage.
Since November 13, 2012, importers have provided guarantees to the customs when importing EU TDI products. The margin ratios levied on companies are as follows: 19.2% for Bayer MaterialScience; 18.1% for Zach Chemie AG, Poland; 6.6% for Bosso Chemicals; 37.7% for Perstorp France; 37.7% for Tao-Spanish; and other EU 37.7% of the company.
On February 3, 2012, Cangzhou Dahua TDI Co., Ltd., Gansu Yinguang Juyin Chemicals, Gansu Yinda Chemicals, Liaoning North Jinhua Polyurethanes Co., Ltd. and Zhangzhou Dahua Juhai Branch Company represented the domestic toluene diisocyanate industry. The agency filed an application for anti-dumping investigation. On March 23, 2012, the investigator issued a public announcement and decided to initiate an anti-dumping investigation against imported toluene diisocyanate from the European Union. The dumping investigation period was from January 1, 2011 to December 31, 2011. The industrial damage investigation period was from January 1, 2008 to December 31, 2011.
Toluene diisocyanate is the main raw material for the production of polyurethane products. It is used in the manufacture of polyurethane products such as soft foams, elastomers, coatings, and adhesives. It can also be used in vinyl polymer films, the surface processing of natural rubber, and the resistance of coatings. Quality additives, textile processing, etc., have a wide range of uses in the petroleum, chemical, mining, metallurgy and automotive industries and railway transportation.
